Sanibel Southend - (c)2006 by A Trevor

Most of us visualize the beach as if looking out to sea. But there is another view of the Sanibel beach. That is looking at it from a boat on the Gulf.

Fortunately, the Sanibel-Captiva Power Squadron is out there watching. (Photo courtesy of the Power Squadron)

The Sanibel Captiva Sail and Power Squadron is part of a boating family comprised of some 60,000 members and 450 squadrons of the United States Power Squadrons® (USPS®). As part of its effort to promote safe boating, the Squadron now makes all courses and workshops open to the public on Sanibel Island.

In addition to being available quickly when there are boat emergencies, the local Power Squadron also offers marine weather forecasts through it’s website. The spirit of the Power Squadron is very much in keeping with the attitude of TRUE SANIBEL

Sanibel and the West Wind Island Resort are privileged to have the Sanibel-Captiva Power Squadron watching over our beach front and beyond.
